I wouldn't go as far as saying Saffold is playing a game because he gets the worst end of the stick if he is. Say he is playing a game how does it benefit him at all? IF the Rams were to cut him where would he go? Whats that saying about Saffold if he gets cut before the season starts? Whats that say about him if stis on the bench all year? He'll go the way of Jason Smith if that happens. No one wants a baby on their team and no one wants a guy who's made of glass. Especially a Tackle in the NFL. I don't think Saffold is pulling a fast one over on anyone, it's a contract year and if he want's LT money than he needs to play the best RT of his life.

Realizing it was the 1st pre season game it was still disappointing that none of the Rams draft class from this past April played very well. MacDonald made a handful of tackles, but missed badly on one easy tackle - no passes defended. Wonder how u can't at least get the ball to Tavon, or even try more than once? Ogletree showed his speed at times but mostly was out of place. Richardson has skills, but Pead looks exactly like last yr - hesistant and underwhelming. Saffold isn't a reliable starter period.

One of the few teams I watched this weekend that didn't show at least some improvement after listening to how 'improved' they were going to be. Looks like a lot of the same minus SJax.

Bradford and Givens looked good last year - they weren't the problem. A shakey OL with little depth, any reliable RB's to replace SJax, and a more dynamic pass O were things to be addressed - and I didn't see any of that considering all the hype the Rams have received since camps started. I'll withhold be any more critical given the circumstane, but I did expect lore of a glimpse of what all the buzz has been about. Targeting Tavon once in any pre season game seems like they haven't figured out jack in the O to me. And Pead doesn't belong on any NFL team period.

You can argue all you want and you can can get aggressive with your point of view including swearing, but when that aggression turns toward personal attacks that are excessive and outside of the topic at hand and become a consistent pattern of behavior, you will first receive a warning and your posts maybe edited. After the first warning, if the behavior continues you will be removed from this site. We're are all adults here. I am not in the business of baby sitting anyone.

Used to be a passionate Ram fan back in the day. Been watching them since '65 and so I've seen 'em come and go too. Now I'm a reluctant Ram fan - mainly because I can't muster up the heart to root for another NFL team. I was amazed and ecstatic back in '99 when they rode Warner, Faulk, and Holt to a SB title - so many heartbreaking seasons when they were annual division winners back in the '70's - it was just...nice to see them win it all. Since the demise of the GSOT days it's been even more lean yrs than the death throes of the Anahiem debacle.

Unfortunately, not much since then or now convince me they are serious contenders. I hated the Devaney years, Spags was a farce of a HC, and I'm not a huge Fisher guy either. The best thing about JF imo is that he's a USC alum, and has brought some semblance of a professional football team to St. Louis. Other than that I think he's an average at best X's and O's guy, and would have preferred a more O-minded, QB friendly HC that has new ideas - not a Tenn Titan formula for success. I've found the 2 drafts since his hiring avg at best, and would have given back every pick alleged to be the benefit of passing on RGIII in a heartbeat to have a TRU super star at QB. It's a QB driven league, and Bradford while capable is more ordinary than super star - and meanwhile the Seahawks and 9'ers draft 2 of the best mobile/passing QB's in the entire league. Not good enough imo.

Moderating isn't easy. I've been in that situation and it's not fun having to make that sort of decision. I won't criticize someone else who's put in that spot - especially as I didn't see the moderated post. The post above this 1 doesn't help matters. Other than that he called things as he saw them and I appreciated his viewpoint, (even if I didn't agree with all of it).
