Amaro opened his big mouth recently and created another reason to wish him gone.

He said that we can't do what's best for the fan. They don't understand the game!
We have a plan in place and we are sticking to it! Amaro said that we as fans don't realize
what it takes to groom prospects. As soon as they perform well we want them moved up. But
often they need to work on other areas of their development. I can agree with some of that but
does his ego have to be so big that he knows it all? He knocks the Fan who once filled the park to capacity.
What about Nola? He should have been promoted to triple A last week. (From a fan who doesn't understand the game.) Messing with the mindset of hardworking and producing youngsters is not conducive to their
growth. Amaro has destroyed Darin Ruf mentally. He yanked him around like a yo-yo never once giving him a vote of confidence. Then having him benched after good performances. Amaro is incompetent! His ego is big and false.thinks he knows it all, but yet knows nothing.

Well you know braindead is going to say something like that. He doesn't have a clue so he does the next best thing. HE runs his mouth and proves to everyone except himself of that fact. Better to be perceived to be a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Not in braindead's world. As usual, he gets things backwards. I seriously think the man has a learning disability.

Yes retro,a learning disability due to a huge false Ego that blocks out any creative thinking.
One of the issues not mentioned is the way he signs broken down unproductive players and places them in the minors. Sometimes it is the majors. Also another issue is the way he manipulates Ryno into playing whom he wants played and benching whom he wants benched. Sizemore is a classic example. We do have at least one outfielder in the minors who could replace him. No, it's not Dom Brown! Amaros ego is tied to Sizemore because he put him under contract and no other reason. We should have an outfielder capable of hitting some homeruns instead. I could go on and on but it all has been said before. I can't wait until he and Gillick are gone!

Still one hell of a ballpark though!

Is it true that his contract is up at the end of this year?

David Montgomery is the problem here. As an extremely wealthy owner he can pretty much do as he pleases (think Steinbrenner) - He will not. - He is long noted as having his employees backs, even when they clearly do not deserve it. I am afraid we are stuck with Amaro, and all his horrible moves, solely due to the blind loyalty of Montgomery.

Today's Game: C'mon Phillies! Cy Syndergaard can't be that good. Down 6-0. A little respect for the 42 Phils fans at Citi field.

this piece of shit sells himself on having trash like Jerome Williams, David Buchanan, Sean O'Sullivan in the rotation and he has the audacity to call the fans clueless

just embarrassing. I just think its him being a bitch, crying, knowing theres not a chance in hell he will ever be a GM in MLB again after this season

Syndergaard, dominating the Phillies, hes just 22. Of course, Ruben sees no value in prospects at that age

I have often called for the complete house cleaning of the FO including the braindead owner. The ONLY way you affect rich idiots like Montgomery is with money. Boycott every last thing that is Phillies and do it long enough so the sonofabitch loses money long enough and I guarantee you he'll sell. But that's not going to happen when people keep showing up and supporting this abortion.

This isn't a game against the Mets. This is a bitch-slap that lasts for 9-innings.

Braindead Amaro has the hutzpah to tell the fans they do not understand the game yet he has no opinion on his won-loss record 19-30. Here's the question I have for this idiot. If he understands the game and we don't then what does that won-loss record mean? I'd like to hear his words of bullshit on what that record really means.

Hey, somebody edited Amaro's bio in the Wikipedia. They apparently inserted opinionated details of Amaro's tenure as GM, even referring to him as Ruin Tomorrow. This is silly because people want the objective story of the man which is the purpose of this on-line encyclopedia.

I understand all teams have to rebuild. What I don't understand is having to do so with these players on the 25 man roster

Jeff Francouer
Sean O'Sullivan
Justin DeFratus
Jerome Williams
Chad Billingsley
Grady Sizemore
Jake Diekman
Cameron Rupp
Andres Blanco

over 1/3 of the active roster right there. Its just embarrassing. I just refuse to believe these players are the best options. I understand rebuilding, but you can make an argument that half of those players don't even belong in MLB

im not saying guys like Dom Brown, Brian Bogusevic are the answer. But id sure as hell rather watch them in the lineup over Francouer and Sizemore.

Aaron Nola and Eflin or Lively over Sullivan and Williams

Wow! Even the encyclopedia is on to Amaro! Objective? Who is going to defend him?

I totally agree BPNAZ. Wasted roster spots and playing time for others that would be better on any a number of categories especially getting-on-base-percentage one of braindead's favorite statistics. The dumbass doesn't understand the simplest but most productive aspects of the game and WE the fans don't understand the game. Go figure!

Incompetent guys added to the roster over the past few years have seriously delayed advancement of more skilled players in AA and AAA. Names like Michael Martinez, the Nixes, Steve Susdorf, Casper Wells, Roger Bernadina, McDonald, Gwynn Jr., and Koyie Hill were some of the worst roster additions Amaro has made. Some of these guys got little playing time but still it shows that a winning "plan" hasn't been in place.
