While I think this is all 100% true...it doesn't automatically mean that it was smart to give up a first and pay full value for him. No one is doubting that the team is better with Cooper. The question is whether or not he is better than the cap dollars he'll take up plus the first round pick. IMO we could have used those assets to help the team more than Cooper will. BUT, as I have said he is on the team and I'm not going to kick and scream about it and the fact that we are clearly better on the field than we were last week partially offsets the fact that i think we overpaid.Maybe you should be talking about POTENTIAL, which is what Coop has. He will clearly be the #-1 next time they take the field. If they can get him the ball, that will open up the run game.
AND.....think of how many more touches this will give Beasley who is flat ballin' right now. Let's give it a chance.
