Not debatable.

Like I said I will take my guy. I’m not sure how Amari will be used in Dallas. It’s tough for a WR to change teams during a season and contribute greatly but we will see. Dallas has a run first offense as well so he may not get as many targets. Alshon is a nice WR. Not sure he is a number 1. He had some nice seasons in Chicago as Brandon Marshall’s sidekick. I mean he did play with the All world Wentz last year and managed 57 grabs on 120 targets. He looks a bit better this year. He was once called toilet paper by an Ex bear great. From the looks of it the ex Bear wasn’t wrong. Again a nice WR. U can have your guy though. I like the upside of ours, especially if we throw him the ball.

Alshon has incredible hands. Going back to his time with the Bears he was great at winning the one on one battles. He has bailed Wentz out a bunch of times this year by making great catches. There was a subtle one this past week. I think it was a 3rd down conversion. He extended his hands and made a great catch. Cooper doesn't seem to have that ability. But Cooper is faster and younger and more what the Cowboys are looking for. Dak or this team (hard to say which) doesn't like to throw those one on one balls like Wentz does. For the Cowboys Cooper seems a better fit. But, most importantly he is 24. That is a huge difference. This wasn't a one year move. Next year Jeffery is pushing 30 and Cooper is 25. Cooper is cheap this year and expensive next year. Jeffery is expensive the next 3 years. For Dallas to give up a #1 for Cooper was certainly questionable and IMO too much. But to do so for Jeffery would have been a really, really stupid move.

Alshon is talented no doubt but Copper- if he really wants to play- can be a true number 1. Now again we don’t like to throw the ball much so this probably is not the best fit for him.

Damn I didn't see that one. I would have liked to have had him for this team.

He is a FA after the season. The question will be - like baseball- are they renting him or do they plan on resigning him. I have thought the Skins secondary was one of their strengths. That just made them a little better IMO. Dix is a nice player. Surprised the Pack let him go. He has been a mainstay in their secondary for quite awhile. I liked the trading period this year. Teams went after it.

So I guess the real question is, is Cooper worth a top 7 - top 10 pick? Because if Dallas keeps this up, our 1st is going to be pretty high - I don't have a lot of optimism regarding the remaining schedule with the way this team is playing.

At 3-5 I think Dallas needs to win the next 3 to have any real playoff aspirations. Tall order with how shit this offense has been.

One question I have for those who think trading the first for Cooper was a good idea, the argument seems to be that there were no WRs worth taking in the first - so why not? Was it necessarily a foregone conclusion that drafting a wr in the 1st was how Dallas would spend the pick otherwise?

Full disclosure, I was 100% on board trading for Cooper for a 2nd, still not sure how I feel about trading the 1st.
