Looking at the lines for the games, Im noticing Atlanta is a 2.5 point favorite over NE. Sunday night in ATL???? Isnt this a lay up???? I will say that I did look at their games last year and they really didnt blow anyone away there. I just have a feeling this will be a a big game for ATL. Now if I want to parlay that, I really like NO as well on Monday night. Not a gambler, but this is tempting. Talk me out of it

If you were betting real money, I'd pick two other games. Both of the teams you're betting against may well lose, but they are both 3-0. Surely there are better plays on the board than going against two 3-0 squads

I have seven tickets between 6 and 12 team tickets and not one of those seven parlay tickets has the saints or falcons game on it. Not a good bet on either game.

One thing you should know is there are no safe bets. As for the Falcons game the public doesn't agree with you. At the book I'm currently in the Pats are now -1.

My 2 best bets are the Bears+3, and Ravens-3.5

I understand how all bets can be enticing, but you really need to do your homework to make it payoff. You need to win 53% of you bets to break even and in order to actually have something to show for your gambling you need to win 55 to 60% of the time. The lines are made to get even money on the games, that way there are more loses than winners. All those radio touts claiming 65 or higher wining % are full of shit.
I am a sports bettor and I enjoy doing it but I keep my bank account in check so as I don't become homeless. I encourage all other bettors not to bet more than they can afford to lose.

That said, I need to hit the Book for today.

I'm having a bad year, I am down about 1,000.00 the first three weeks of this season; but I usually hit about three to four 6 team tickets a year which generally covers my habit for the year plus some seeing they average about 4,000 or so per a win. No big wins this year so, only a few three team tickets. Most people are full of shit if they say they win 55% or higher; I know for a fact I win about 40% of my tickets and they only reason I cover my losses is due to the fact I hit those six team tickets about 25% of the time. Trust me if you think ESPN is hard on Pickem betting spreads are even harder, ESPN gives a friendly spread. Also if you are just starting out I would suggest betting small as well as doing a ticket with no more than 6 teams on it with 7 point teaser that way you give yourself 7 extra points to play with and a better chance at winning. It's a really good way to learn how to bet, as well as it increases your odds of winning. However your pay out is not near as much.

My cheap ass bets $10 on a 6 pick and then I split the 6 into 2 $5 3 teamer's. ($20 a week) I have gone whole seasons without hitting a 6'er but I hit enough 3's to keep me close to even. If I were willing to bet $100 plus a week I'd stick to one game at a time.

I'll play the spread and the win on some six team tickets. I don't place 100 on every ticket but I have put up about 1,600 this year so far through four weeks.
