Its an interesting matchup. KC native playing against KC in his 3rd game. Chiefs still have an outside shot at a bye week so they'll be giving 100%. Lock/Fant seems like a potent combo.

I kinda always had a Derek Carr/Carson Wentz hybrid as a comp for Lock. (I'll admit I'm biased but I don't consider a Derek Carr comp a terribly good compliment) As a Chiefs fan, I'd like to see the Chiefs bend but don't break. Don't give him the deep ball because Lock's accuracy from 10 yds away is pretty much the same as it is from 40 yds.

It's early. Only two games in. The Broncos might finally have their QB but no one will know for at least another 20 games. I like what I've seen so far. The kid seems pretty composed, confident and has an ounce or two of swag.

One game and Lock vs Mahomes is a must watch? puhleeeeeze

Lock has started 2 games, won them both, and looked good doing it. If he keeps up his performance, that should be a very good matchup.

next Sunday looks awfully intriguing. If Lock continues to progress, that could be a very fun rivalry over the next few seasons.

He's started 2 games and looked decent in each. Today was the first time the Broncos have scored more than 24 points in a game in about a year. Lock is looking better than I thought he would.

If you look at the statlines for the best 4 QB's the Texans D has faced this year(Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Drew Brees, & Tom Brady), Lock played better than arguably all of them except Jackson.

Lock - 22/27 309Yards 3TD's 1 Int

Jackson - 17/24 222 Yards 4TD's 0 Int 86 Yards Rushing
Brees - 32/43 370 Yards 2TD's 1 INT
Mahomes - 19/35 273 Yards 3 TD's 1 INT
Brady - 24/47 326 Yards 3 TD's 1 INT

So yes the Texans D is pretty bad but for a rookie making his first road start to put up those kinds of numbers says something. He is at the very least the most talented QB the Broncos have had since Manning retired.

Lock has started 2 games, won them both, and looked good doing it. If he keeps up his performance, that should be a very good matchup.

well that comparison didnt go so well.

Mahomes is really fucking good. Snow didn't faze him at all.

The next decade will be rough playing him twice a year.

I wish he would switch to baseball.

Lock, on the other hand, looked like a rookie. I will give him a pass coming into Arrowhead and laying an egg. I am still comfortable with him at the helm. At least he has shown some promise and there is some hope building.

Agreed. But the OP compared him to mahomes and insinuated about him possibly being on that level.
