I kind of think it's generally tough to criticize a manager for being TOO aggressive in a must-win game.

It would be an understandable move if the game was close or if Texas was even threatening at all...but they weren't. The Jays were up 7-1 and there were already 2 outs in the inning with just a runner on 1st.

I get his line of thinking, it was just really dumb. The Blue Jays have now burned their Ace unnecessarily with game 5 still yet to play. Won't be a big deal is Stroman comes out and throws a gem, but if he has a shaky first few innings, they now don't even have the luxury of going to Price afterwards. It's the type of managerial move that gets people fired when it blows up in their face.

It was idiotic. Dickey was cruising along. The concern with a knuckleballer is unraveling with control. That wasn't happening at all.

He could have had a game 5 with Price ANd Stroman ready.

This. And if they don't have to use one of those 2, you have a fully rested and ready guy to start the next series. He just burned one of his best arms for no apparent reason.

So is leaving a starter in just a little too long and blowing a lead. And that's an error that Gibbons already made in game 2

I don't think I would have done it, but I get it.

Dude, the game was 7-1 and Texas was not threatening in the least. Its a waste. Dickey could have easily gotten 4 more outs and then you can turn it over to your normal bullpen guys to wrap up the final innings. Then you'd have Price AND Stroman available wednesday. It's a really dumb move on Gibbons' part.

That said, it won't matter at all if Stroman comes out and deals or the Jays' bats hit another 4-5 home runs wednesday.

Not sure why he tried bunting on the 1st pitch either...but in his defense, that called 3rd was low...

Next guy up flied out which would have tied the game had the bases been loaded.

Still a long way to go in this one though...
