I don't know that he won't be available -- in do-or-die situations, typically it's all hands on deck -- but he did throw what, close to 40 pitches last night? Pretty taxing pitches too. I also feel like Robertson could be a little gassed today.

Then again, we might get rained out.

Ehh I disagree about Robertson. Did he even throw 10 pitches last night?
My guess is Chapman is available but only for 1 inning.
Green should be available again and so should Betances. Most guys should be fresh especially Warren and Kahnle. Got Montgomery & Garcia if we need a long man to eat some innings as well. Chapman is the only one I'm slightly concerned about. Betances and Green should both be good for multiple innings if needed. 2 days off for those guys.

Im shocked how they have handled Ramirez and Lindor (outside of that little grand slam thingy)

Lindor: .091/.286/.364/.649

That's uglier than Jose's line.

To their defense (and Yankees' credit), the Yankees are as good of a pitching team as any in the playoffs.

I dont wanna see Robertson tonight

Between his always pitching behind and counts, and his propensity to give up the long ball, ive had enough of him

Carlos Carrasco yesterday became just the 9th pitcher to go 5.2+ IP, give up 0 ER, in a clinching game, and his team lose.

Yeah, but Green's performance thus far hasn't been much better than Severino's.

He was obviously exhausted from pitching nearly 4 innings on Tuesday. I wouldn't say he hasn't been better than Severino when he basically saved the yankees from disaster in the WC game with an incredible performance

A dubious distinction, to be sure.
Yup. Happened last year with Syndergaard, but the last time it happened in an actual series was Kazmir in the 2008 ALCS Game 5. They still went on to win the series in 7 though.

I was glad to see how dominant he was, though. Sometimes I think he's a little soft mentally, so I was happy he went to the Bronx and kicked ass in that atmosphere.

If Kluber hadn't of shat himself, the Indians' pitching stats would be outrageous.

Who would have guessed that the weak spot on the Indians' staff thus far would be Corey Fucking Kluber?

Not the correct side of playoff history to be on. Hope the Tribe can close it out tonight, unless the weather gets in the way. If the game gets rained out will they play it tomorrow?

Just looked at the hourly forecast here in NYC. After 7 PM, it is clear for the rest of the night. My guess is the start likely gets delayed til 8 or 830

1.50 WHIP and an ER in 2 IP. Incredible performance?

I guess in the sense that Severino was absolute dog shit, you're right, Greene has been better. Still, he's given up 4 ER in 2.1 IP.

I can live with that, for sure. What I'd hate to see happen is they get started and then have a long delay, potentially removing the starters from the equation.

Ive said this a million times since Friday

The 6th inning that night came in 3 awful layers

1- CC retiring 11 of 12 batters, showing no signs of losing it, 77 pitches, never should have been taken out....Thats the robot Girardi is...He decided BEFORE that inning he was taking him out, and nothing would change that....Right there a big difference between Joe and Tito

2- Not reviewing it of course......Would be nice if the umps got one right though.....Smoltz kept saying Sanchez heard the sound of the bat, like most catchers would.....But the ump doesnt?

3- Not removing Green after that HBP was absolutely shocking to me...Again, Smoltz said 5 times that inning, "Green obviously doesnt have his best stuff, he is not getting swings and misses".....He had Robertson ready, I could not believe he was able to stay in

Considering he came in with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the 1st down 3-0 then yes it is. Could have easily been 5-0 after the top of the 1st

Not the least bit surprising a thread involving the Yankees would reach 666 posts.

I'll say, though, having the Yankees and some of the folks from the AL Central thread involved definitely helps the post count.
