Yeah you cant wait this long to call it.THey knew the rain was going to go until about 10. Either should have called it at game time or waited and played a late game.

Beside Nick Sandlin (who would have been a nice weapon vs. the Yanks right handers)- we have a fully rested bullpen that is the best in the majors.

on the other hand- if Bieber can give you 4 innings- and hand it off- that is not a bad formula.

All I know is that if the Guards somehow have a lead after 7 innings- its a done deal.

You guys had a guy with an ERA of nearly 5 going who the Yankees own.

Now we likely get Bieber.

Only positive is it gave our pen a rest and likely means Cole is available for a inning or 2 as well. He came in today ready to pitch as well.

Big that they get Wandy a day of rest so he can give us 2 innings tomorrow if needed. With Holmes returning from injury, this day off is cruical as well.

Astros are a wagon regarless. You gotta play to get to them.

They should 100% throw Bieber if he thinks he can go. If Bieber can be effective for 4 or hell 5 innings. You hand off the the fully rested pen and have a 10 inning game easily covered in the sense of viable arms.

Sometimes I wish they were more aggressive with this stuff- but they protect their players.

huge- Peralta had pitched 3 days in a row. Holmes had pitched 2 out of 3 days and is coming off injury. Guardians already had a rested pen. Guardians arent going to start Bieber on short rest in cold weather.- which considering he will prob. not even be in Cleveland long term seems a little crazy to me- but its just how they handle things. Francona is sometimes loyal to a fault as all of us Guardians fans know- but its also the thing that makes his players love him so much.
