Gonna be an extremely tough series against the Yankees bc of their ability to change the game with one at-bat. I believe they can take it 5 but going to be tough. A sweep is not acceptable even if this is just icing on the cake for this young Cleveland team. I just hope not to see blowouts

This has been a great season for this young Cleveland team. But they don't have the weapons to keep up with NY.

Hopefully Cleveland doesn't get swept.

Yankees by all means should win this and earlier in the season I would have given Cleveland zero shot. This is a young team, however, and they are playing with a ton of confidence and great pitching. They might be able to make the Yanks sweat a little

It's baseball, favorites lose all the time in the playoffs. Pretty random especially short series.

if the Guardians are going to have any chance against the Yankees they need to:

1. Hit a lot better, lol. I know this is obvious- but Gimenez, Kwan and Naylor have to hit.

2. Get to the Yankee bullpen- while the Yanks do have some good arms- they also have had injuries and come inconsistencies.

3. Bullpen has to continue to be dominant. It will be a lot harder to keep the Yankee lineup down than the Rays.

I don't think the Guardians have no chance----- but a lot of stuff has to happen for them to pull off the upset. Getting Game 1 would be great.


Plus- you never know how a long layoff will effect a team. The Yankees are a veteran team and needed some rest- so I do not think it will effect them as much as a young team---- but the Guardians have been playing great baseball in September and are hot. The layoff could either greatly help or hurt the Yanks. I am thinking help since they are a veteran team and should know how to handle it- but you never know in baseball. They have basically will have had off a break as long as the All Star break.

there is some bad blood between these teams from earlier in the season when the always classy Yankees fans were yelling slurs and throwing garbage at the Guardians outfielders.

Cleveland has to play a perfect series to pull off the upset. And I don't see that happening.
