What the hell is going on with the Blue Jays?
Only 2 games ahead of the streaking Orioles now
I think I read not too long ago that Elias was going to stick to the plan for this year. No need to be like 2017 (I think that was the year) where we had a good month or so but our pitching was clearly not going to hold up but we were buyers anyways and tanked the last six weeks of the season.44-44
Sure why not??
Baltimore is doing it with smoke and mirrors and the most insanely low payroll in baseball.
This team was supposed to be about 50-112, not a team possibly fighting for a wildcard berth somehow.
Will they suddenly change long term course and become a "buyer" instead of a "seller'?
They already have the top rated minor leagues, plus the incoming #1 overall pick, lots of young guys, and a ton of payroll flexibility.
As painful as it might be for the fans, I still think they have to stand pat or stick to being a seller regardless.
I hope I am wrong and it becomes obvious to add players, but I am in favor of rebuilding for another year.
Horrific loss. worst of the season by far.
Last 3 nights are giving me 2021 deja vu
Bad loss, still have a decent shot of making playoffs.....
With Taillon and Cortes turning back into pumpkins and Boone's A+ bullpen management it's a good thing they've built a double digit lead is all I'm saying.
Meanwhile, Tony La Russa is still employed.
