Agree, it's like he threw away his Bullpen Ideas for Dummies guidebook.....
not to worrythought it was dumb to pull Whitlock and lean on the bullpen for 5+ innings, but can't fault them when the pitching gave up only one run and it wasn't even earned.
No home runs since last Friday. .280 OBP good for 25th in MLB, and they have the lowest walk rate in the league. And it's not like they're hitting for power (23rd in ISO, 26th in home runs) or stealing bases (29th). I know there's a lot of season left, but I've never seen a Red Sox lineup look so anemic.
not to worry
hris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports that the Red Sox will designate Travis Shaw for assignment and call up Franchy Cordero prior to Friday's game against the Orioles.
Shaw made the Opening Day roster after returning on a minor league deal but has gone 0-for-19 with seven strikeouts to start the season. Cordero has a .913 OPS with three homers at Triple-A Worcester and has been playing first base there of late, so he figures to spell Bobby Dalbec some at the position.
Can watch even without an Apple+ subscription, correct?
Lmfao at the Barnes extension. Another strong pitching performance wasted by an inept offense.
