help is on the way:suds:

Yankees signed INF Derek Dietrich to a minor league contract.

Dietrich last appeared in the majors with the Rangers during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. The 32-year-old veteran slugger holds a .245/.335/.428 triple-slash line with 84 round-trippers and seven stolen bases across 2,513 plate appearances in 746 major-league games since 2013. He spent time with the Yankees and Nationals at the Triple-A level last year.

I bet Marlene Dietrich plays a better SS. And she's dead.

Yes. I was not duped by the "guy who rakes at Coors is somehow only meh elsewhere."

the Coors effect doesnt mean as much when he's going to Fenway. Fenway is known for raising BABIPs as well.

I'd be more alarmed by the fact that we're giving the likes of JBJ and Shaw at bats.

30 runs in 10 games. They are obviously better than that. But if they aren’t hitting HR’s, they have a hard time scoring because nobody on the roster can move.

Pitching looks great, so far, though. Is Cortes this good??

Yes he is

He’ll be fine. He can hit and he plays great defense, too. He signed late, then his wife had a baby and then he had the flu. He basically is still in week 2-3 of Spring Training.

The Coors Field thing is overrated anyway. And it’s not like Fenway is some purgatory for hitters, either.

Now JBJ on the other hand...

Doesn't the p0rn 'stache violate the Yankees no facial hair rule? Think he needs to be unconditionally released.. . .
Real discussion needs to be had on that facial hair rule bs. It is 2022....time to get rid of it.

I didn't even recognize odor yesterday because he grew his beard back while the yanks had him looking like a 10 yr old boy

Be careful, you'll have Pedroia's brother racing to Baltimore.......too soon?
