Excellent. Seriously. The Yankees can pay $125m/year to Cole, Stanton, Judge and Seager for the next 7+ years of their declining performance.

Seager is awesome, btw, but that contract is nuts.

Will still be cheaper than what Correa gets.

I do have to question the logic of signing a SS long term, when all your top rated positional prospects are SS.

the only thing I worry about with Seager is that he's spent a lot of time on the IL (only 26 games in 2018 and only 95 this year). Excellent player when he is on the field though. Same goes for Correa (this season was only his second with over 120 games played, the first since 2016). Story looks to be the most durable of the three, but I do worry about how his bat will do leaving Coors.

I suppose it’s easy to slide Seager to 3B if/when those prospects arrive? I’m sure he could also play 2B if he needed to.

I would take Seager over Correa, too. I think that’s the right play.

$300M like Passan was speculating seems crazy, but who knows.

Navamind brings up a good point though-he's only played over 130 games once in the last 4 years.

Same with Aaron Judge, but you’re ready to give him the key to the City!?!? <Insert shrugging guy emoji>

Yeah, but Judge & Seager aren't close to a good comparison as to how the fans feel.....Judge is the ONLY guy I would want signed for multiple years on this team......

He's the best position player they've developed in 30 fucking years bro. Homegrown and beloved.

Little bit different situations.

That said, this braintrust ( I use that term very sarcastically) will probably let him walk.

I get it. And I’d rather have Judge anyway, but that bar is going to be crazy high if they give Seager $300m.

LOL

I didn't even know he was working for the Astros. When did that happen?

He's friends with the owner and is a special adviser......started this season.....

I thought Renfroe was pretty meh defensively. Great arm but it doesn't feel like he had spectacular range. Also felt liked he misplayed some balls, some of which may have led to a few of those outfield assists.

FWIW, Judge won the Fielding Bible Award (which is probably a more accurate award anyway) for right field.

C- Jacob Stallings
1B- Paul Goldschmidt
2B- Whit Merrifield
SS- Carlos Correa
3B- Ke'Bryan Hayes
LF- Tyler O'Neill
CF- Michael A. Taylor
RF- Aaron Judge
P- Dallas Keuchel
Multi-Pos - Kiké Hernández
