From day one I didn't like Boone. In his first series (Against the Jays) Robinson was on the mound. He had him intentionally walk Donaldson, a righty, who was injured to the point he couldn't play the field, to load the bases for Smoak a switch hitter who blasted a game winning grand slam. I went nuts. When asked he said "Donaldson has great numbers against Robinson". Which was true, but those numbers were from 4 or 5 years earlier when Donaldson was healthy and playing the best ball of his career. And it was something like 8 at bats. I've had no use for him since then despite the 100 win seasons. They win games in spite of himAnd hired one of the worst in-game managers I've ever seen.
