Rangers get no-hit by the bobble-head they gave out.

Who writes this stuff?

The Yankees' last May no-hitter was thrown by a guy who made his name with another club, and was in his first year with the team. That season ended in a world championship.

So I'm totally taking this as an omen.

Funny you say that cause I was thinking Andujar has looked good in LF, but I bet he’s getting 2 routine balls hit his way a game
That’s exactly it. Manny Ramirez played LF for the Sox for 7 years and did fine out there. He wasn’t winning any gold gloves, but he made all the routine plays. You can definitely hide a guy in LF.

Even made some "not so" routine plays. He really did it all.

First road no-hitter for NY in 70 years
Really weird. I was just talking to a buddy THIS WEEK about the last time the Yankees had a no-no and how they were overdue. I remember Wells and Cone and thought Jim Abbott also did it as a Yankee? I also remember Mussina had the perfect game in Fenway for 8 2/3 until Carl Everett broke it up.

They always loved to run this Manny highlight ad nauseam. But it was never really reflective of how he played out there. He was more than capable. I think the same about Ortiz at 1B, as well. He didn’t play there much, but always seemed fine when he did.

No No is nice of course

I’m more focused on the fact that Kluber has looked like his CY Young version for a month now and seemingly getting better

that’s pretty awesome

I admit I was waaaaaayyyy off on Taillon, that guy has nothing but straight and eminently crushable

Goddamn. This will be 20 years ago in September. Where the hell does the time go? Also didn’t recall it was a 1-0 game and that David Cone pitched that game for the Sox and was almost as good:
