Xander Bogaerts has been added to the American League All-Star team.
He's replacing Rangers outfielder Hunter Pence, who is working through a lingering groin injury. Bogaerts probably should have been on the AL All-Star roster from the get-go, as the 26-year-old shortstop boasts a career-high .301/.392/.541 batting line with 16 home runs, 58 RBI, and 64 runs scored through 82 games this season with the Red Sox. Brandon Lowe and Jose Berrios have also been added to the American League squad, replacing Tommy La Stella and Jake Odorizzi, respectively.

All the teams currently in 2nd place in their respective NL divisions would be at best 3rd place if they were in the AL....some would be in 4th place
