I wish I could be relieved by that but this O's team is too inconsistent. I'm just glad that they are playing a struggling Rangers team at the moment. As much as I hate saying it, I don't think that they are much better than a .500 team.

The AL East so far sucks this season.

- The defending champs are 9 games under .500

- The Rays, I'm shocked how bad they were to start the season. but they seem to be headed in the right direction now.

- The Yankees and O's seem to be .500 teams this season


I don't see a wild card team coming from the East this season.

We'll see.. Yankees go on a long 11 game road trip against average teams so they may gain ground on the Jays.

The Jays start a tough 10 game road stretch so this favors the Yanks.

4.5 is nothing. That can easily be 2 by the AS break.

Yanks just can't get 7 or 8 back.

CC should be back soon which should help. We need to make some moves though to get a bat/another reliever. Kelley is fucking awful

Yanks need to go at least 5-3 in their next 2 series vs Minny & Cleveland

I don't either quite honestly unless someone gets really hot after the all-star break. I wouldn't be the least bit shocked if the 2 wild cards came from the AL West.

I wouldn't mind keeping Lackey, mostly because of his clause. Maybe Badenhop as well. Rest should go though.

Thing about Middlebrooks is, what do they do at 3rd? Cecchini is no guarantee to stay at 3rd base, and he isn't exactly lighting the world on fire in AAA right now. He's only batting .257/.337/.336 with a 28:61 BB:K ratio in 285 PA in AAA. His career minor league line is .301/.402/.433 with a 201:256 BB:K ratio. I still like him, but it's a bit concerning.

Don't want to move Bogaerts from SS, but if Cecchini has to move, then it isn't a bad idea. Especially if Marrero continues to hit well.
