under Tito's 10 year run they had the 3rd most wins in the AL behind the Yanks and Astros. I wouldnt call that a "moral" victory. So it’s a moral victory thing.

I would because they haven’t won a World Series in forever. You talking about regular season wins is another form of moral victory.under Tito's 10 year run they had the 3rd most wins in the AL behind the Yanks and Astros. I wouldnt call that a "moral" victory.
neither have a ton of teams- only 1 teams wins it each year. I have watched a ton of good fun baseball- multiple playoff series wins- and the Guardians are def. one of the 10-12 most successful teams of the past decade. Phillies havent won a world series either in the past 10 years.I would because they haven’t won a World Series in forever. You talking about regular season wins is another form of moral victory.
But they actually have a chance to win a World Seriesneither have a ton of teams- only 1 teams wins it each year. I think the Dolan's will sell within the next 3-5 years to the minority owner that came in---- I think that was the plan when he came in.Imagine where they'd be if they would spend money
I fucking hate Dolan. Ready for him to gtfoImagine where they'd be if they would spend money
Not at all. Just shows what they could do with an owner that would spend. I have been waiting decades for this chump to do something. Yes some years when the payrolls were not crazy he would spend but recently it's been pathetic. Why are Cleveland fans proud of the fact that their owners are just unserious about competing for championships? I just don’t get it.
They were up 3-1 and fucking blew it. I would say that is more than a chance. You don't think we want the owner to spend? Just kinda funny a lot of these teams spend a shit ton and nothing out of it like the Mets. Truly pathetic. But they actually have a chance to win a World Series
Definitely will win Tito and the FO high marks, but it’s still about the rings for the fans. Make no mistake about it.I would because they haven’t won a World Series in forever. You talking about regular season wins is another form of moral victory.
only good thing he has done is keep a very stable front office that is generally regarded as one of the best in the game. That is no small thing either....I fucking hate Dolan. Ready for him to gtfo

its unreal- the Guardians keep winning but just cannot make any distance. The Royals have been a nice surprise this year - they are just behind the Guardians in the division race - Seth Lugo has been one of the best pitchers in MLB this season, after tonight he’s 8-1 with a 1.74 ERA.
Need to replace some of their sub replacement outfielders and for some players like Massey and Marsh to at least sorta kinda maintain jumps they have made. Not only are they 33-19, but they have a +79 run differential. Sal Perez is having a monster year thus far (.330/.396/.538, 159 wRC+). While it certainly stands out versus his other seasons, I don't think it's a total fluke aside from the BABIP. He's striking out a lot less (16.3%, which is his lowest since 2015), he's making more contact (his 77.6% contact rate is his highest since 2017), and his xBA isn't that much lower than his actual BA (.312 xBA vs. .330 BA). His SLG is actually much lower than his xSLG (.538 vs. .607). He might not keep up the 159 wRC+, but he has a pretty good chance at finishing with one of the best offensive seasons of his career.
FanGraphs Depth Charts projections have them going 54-56 over the remainder of the season, but that still gets them to 87 wins. As long as they can play around .500 from here on out, they should be in a pretty decent position to make the playoffs.
I want to say the Royals are overachieving a bit but they are on a massive win streak with a lame outfield. With one or two roster moves they could put a really strong team together.Need to replace some of their sub replacement outfielders and for some players like Massey and Marsh to at least sorta kinda maintain jumps they have made.
