Why did all 3 teams agree to continue to work with these damn crooks? Diamond told the teams that they had the money, they just didn't want to pay.

There has to be a better option long-term.
what is going to be awesome is that starting next year a ton of teams have contracts that are up or already up-

right now a lot of the teams (including Twins and Guardians) are not even allowed to stream games due to their contracts with Diamond- but all of those teams are going to be able to stream games next year---- hopefully a reasonable package to stream games is available.....would be awesome.

From what I have been reading, a lot of different scouting services and websites, etc. seem to think the Twins would be best served to put Varland in the rotation and give him a real chance. A lot of people really like his stuff and think he could definitely handle being a starter that starts in the back of the rotation with some upside to be a middle guy if things work out- or course there is also some real reliever risk there as well. He def. has a large disparity in possible outcomes.

Im pretty certain he will be a starter for at least a lot of the year(assuming he does well enough to stay).

Hes still too young to give up on that part of his game. And the bullpen is deep so its not really that needed.

I saw him pitch a few times in the minors and he looked great. He was really good in the bullpen last year and I hope that gives him the confidence to throw his pitches as a starter.

102?

96 mph cutter?

jeez

that cutter would only be behind Clase
I’m on board with him getting closing duties in ST.

Maybe late August rolls around and he can look back at March.

Just need to keep him healthy, however they go about it.

to hear Jobe getting JV comps is fucking awesome though. 84 ks SIX walks last year in 80 plus innings.

Six walks? damn.

well now Cease is out of the AL Central too.

Honestly- AL Central could be a 4 team race. I dont think any team is that much better or worse besides the White Sox.

And he was only 20/21, which is rather young for high A (he had a 54/3 K/BB ratio there)

I understand the Tigers have been totally snakebit with injuries but the Flaherty signing made no sense. Now we send down Manning. That money was better served with a bat

I know Manning has struggled this spring. But Flaherty hasn’t been reliable in years now. And is past the point of having upside imo.

Just hoping he has an ERA under 5 and they can flip him at some point.

I’d be happy if got something like the Orioles gave up for him.

Feel like Kansas City is a little more not good than Minny, Cleveland and Detroit.

Maybe less awful than Chicago. But I can’t go as far as better.

We’ll see.

I have heard that Flaherty has looked really good this spring. I heard Mize has looked really good too.

Espino is done.....sucks.

Stephen is getting TJ....Williams starts on the DL.....some bad luck for the Guardians

Manzardo and DElatuer starting in the minors but each has looked really good. We put Straw on waivers and ate his money too which is shocking.

Today I learned y'all have a 20-year-old rule 5 pick. That is whack MLB still allowing that for guys that young. An international draft where you have to be at least 17 is overdue at least. De los Santos now is younger than most June amateur draft picks.

Manning wasn't exactly awful either. 3.38 ERA. Control if I recall.

Mize is the one with huge upside

I cant believe Detroit is remotely contemplating Joey Wentz anywhere near Detroit in late March. Dude single handedly prevented them from being a 500 team last year.

3 and 13 on a 78 and 84 team. Bro. You suck. 1.7 WHIP lol. Come on Tigers please tell me you are trolling us and you push him out of the airplane leaving Florida.

Cleveland starting Manzardo and DeLatuer in the minors is going to hurt them.

If/when those guys come up- the offense is actually not too bad-- especially if Kwan and Gimenez can get back towards more of 2022 than 2023.

Delatuer looks really good.

I am excited to have both Naylor brothers healthy and in the lineup at the beginning of the season too- and of course getting rid of Straw is huge.

They have 4 guys in the lineup projected to get single digit HR’s. Hopefully Gavin gets healthy bc I think if Bieber is better they have a great rotation. I mean the lineup just has no power, it is awful.

You obviously live with Kwan. Great hitter, stolen bases and great fielder.
Rocchio might not be ready and projected to have little power-we will see.
You can’t have Freeman and Brennan in there. Two guys that offer little power.

Four guys out of the nine. Like cmon
