In this thread we see what each Power 5 conference averages in regards to regular season P5 opponents for 2019. Notre Dame was the only independent that was considered a P5 opponent. BTW feel free to double check my math because I have been known to fvck up before.

I don't understand your last comment. You are laughing at the SEC West, but according to your list those teams are each playing the same number of P5 teams as Washington.

Every team in that division is playing 9 P5 opponents and they will do the same next season as well. Meanwhile Washington has a home & home series with Michigan starting next year and right after that Washington has a home & home series with Ohio St. which means 10 regular season P5 opponents seeing how Washington plays a 9 game conference schedule.

They have little incentive to schedule tough. The voters will put them in over any other conference and it's been proven multiple times now; which is why I hate "voting" when it comes to a playoff like this. If it was 64 teams like baseball or basketball, then fine; they can't influence the top teams that much. But in football it basically guarantees bias will influence the ranking. I almost would rather it use the AP or coaches poll because it averages a larger group.

I guess Baylor gets a pass since all three OOC opponents are in state little brethren in Rice, UTSA and Stephen F. Austin.

That said, I doubt those are receiving the type coin they would get by playing Texas or A&M. But, I could be wrong.
