The depth at WR and CB should give us some nice options in the 20's.

Are we really using what Harbaugh did in the Pioneer Football League as evidence to his football philosophy? It's a borderline high school conference.

Just like you are using blowouts against teams like SJ St.

If a top CB drops I would not mind grabbing one.

We need Justin Smith's replacement at DE.

A RG would be nice.

QB, WR and OLB I would hold off because we'll resign Alex, Braylon, Ginn and Brooks.

Looking at the rankings they actually might all be gone by the time we draft. Jenkins could be the only guy left. It's gonna be too high for the guys like Fuller and Broyles. Our spot ain't looking so hot right now. :(

I haven't watched the guy at all but Crick is projected in the area we might wind up picking. That could be your future replacement for Justin Smith.

I don't see us going QB late first round. It would be like saying Kap was a bust. I'm also intrigued by Tolzien. He could be a perfect fit for our offense.

CK is a 2nd round QB, not top 5 or top 10 overall? granted we traded up for him, but it was still in round 2.

there are supposedly two 1st round QB's not named Luck (Barkely and Landry). what if Landry is the guy Harbaugh really likes, likes him more than CK?

are we going to pass cause we don't want to look bad drafting CK? you're going to pass cause you're ASSUMING CK will be good enough to win a SB?

You're the one that's trying to prove Harbaugh's offense is run heavy. Posting the pass-run differentials at Stanford and USD doesn't hold any significance when we're talking about Harbaugh in the NFL. X's point is that with a great QB, we'd be passing more. Considering the fact that we're 31st in the league in passing attempts per game, I don't see how that can be argued.

Oh, and that was a low blow.

Yep, that is really all I meant by the 49ers might not go QB in the 1st, just because with any luck it could be a 28-32 pick. Not so much saying that Kap is a bust, but it's doubtful a 1st round talent at QB would still be around so late.

Man, if you had told me we were picking 28-32 before the season started, I would have assumed we traded our pick to Green Bay for a few picks.

yeah ok, the chances of "a QB Harbaugh really likes", is small in the 20's. but lets keep that option open?

there were what...four (Newton, Locker, Ponder, and Gabbert?) 1st round QB's taken last year and one more (Dalton) before CK. so not a lot of teams looking for another QB? then there's THREE projected 1st rounders next draft, so will three teams before 21st take QB?

If Luck, Landry Jones, and Barkley are the 3 QB's, then yes i would say they are all gone before the 21st pick.

other than QB, there's no one spot the majority agrees on? this means the team is ok all around, no glaring weaknesses.

this is a good thing drafting in the 20's, we can consider almost any position. we should be able to add a good prospect, just might not be the spot you prefer.

We are running the same offense that he ran in college. It is run heavy. I don't see why we would pass more if we had a better QB. The offense works the way it is. Ball control, mistake free, pound on the ground, dink and dunk when needed. Anything else wouldn't be this offense (Harbs). It would be something new.

It isn't the spot that concerns me. It's the major talent drop-off in that area. They all look like 2nd rounders at the moment.

that area of WR prospects? yeah ok, but thats the beauty of it, we can go to another spot?

man, we're not used to drafting this low, we were spoiled all these years. :-)

I'm talking all positions. It looks very thin in the latter 20's.

Hahaha! Our one thing to look forward to for being mediocre appears to be gone - I thought the same exact thing! I just hope we pick in the 20's (and maybe even the 30's) long enough to get use to this in the same way.

Being that it is our own pick and not someone else's.... its been a long time since we could say that.... and I'm not disappointed :)

I wouldn't mind if this draft looked like the previous three around those picks. I'm gonna be pissed if this winds up being the weakest late first round in the last 4 years.
