Holy crap the Bengals are really goin all in on offense.
I like this. It's fun to watch.

But even as someone who doesn't bet on football, I'd put money on one of the two asking to be traded in less than a year from now.

But why? Most players ask to be traded when they are mad about money, playing time, or production. Both players have significant guarantees going into next season, so I don't think money is going to be an issue. As for playing time and production - Chase won a triple crown last season and that didn't prevent Tee from getting his when healthy.

I mean, it's not a no brainer call for me and some based on listening to some Atlanta beat guys' thoughts on Cousins. According to them Cousins looked pretty good until he was hurt again in week 10 or 11.

concern about Wilson is really comes accross as unlikeable and how would that play (easier to tolerate if playing well and winning I'm sure).
I have a sense that Wilson would be pretty good in Stefanski's offense if they could get their line playing well again. I think one of the issues for the Browns is that a guy like Wilson might get you 8-10 wins, which knocks you out of the top 10 in the draft but doesn't give you any real opportunity to compete in the postseason. And sooner or later you need a QB. I suppose this is the issue with the Steelers as well.

Some notes on the Bengals with the signings of Chase and Higgins...everyone who wants to kick the Bengals for not spending to keep their guys, now wants to kick them for spending to keep their guys. Which, by the way, things seem to be trending on keeping Hendrickson as well. If that happens, the "Big Four" on the roster would account for about 35% of the cap in 2025.That number would bump up to around 41% in 2026 and then 44% in 2027.By then, you would have restructured Joe Burrow and Hendrickson would likely come off the books before 2028.

In other words - PLENTY of money to spend on defense. The issue this year isn't that they spent too much on offense, it's that they didn't get the contracts done early enough to be a real factor in the big wave of free agents because they didn't know exactly where they would stand with cash/cap. This won't be the case going forward - and again, this is WITH them signing Trey (around 30-34M depending).

Also of note: At the pace he's been on in his first 5 seasons, Tee Higgins would end up 3rd on the Bengals career receiving list after another 4 seasons in Cincinnati. Only trailing Chad Johnson and AJ Green by 2028. (and probably Ja'Marr Chase by that time).

Bengals locked up a #1 type WR (though lower tier) as a number 2 WR, and at a discount at that. Not going to be made about how that went down while also locking up an All-Pro WR in Chase. Crazy.

That's how fans are sometimes....just want to rip someone even if need to contradict themselves to do it. Hell, how many ripped the Browns for potentially losing Garrett and him demanding out....then ripped them for paying him to stay?

Think I prefer Flacco for next year but get it as I guess chance they can right him like others have recently (Darnold, Baker, Geno) and have him beyond a season (if no rookie or he does not work out) while Flacco likely just a season because of age.

Flacco makes more sense. Even at his age he produces when he needs to, granted not sure that you can rely on him for 17 weeks.

Sadly I wouldn't mind him in Pittsbrugh either knowing Rudolph would start some games also. Better than the Rodgers BS we are stuck with.

Loved Flacco Fever in 2023 but looking more closely the guy beat mostly bad teams and was good for some costly picks most games. Getting benched 2X last season would have me a little concerned to bring him in.
