Then they informally changed their name to the Orphans after their longtime manager left and the media gave them the nickname.

Then to the Cubs.

With the loss of their “Pop” as Anson had become known, at times the media referred to the club as the Remnants or the Orphans. The “Colts” name remained in circulation through the 1905 season, along with Orphans and Remnants, depending on which newspaper or fan one spoke to.

Looks like baseball was loosey-goosey with names back then. Not quite as marketable as it is now.

Brady and his offense are putting up 30 a game. He's at or near the top of all QB stats this year. I'm not worried about him.
