Team was “shopped” a few times prior to the expansion so it was expected. And after COVID the franchise was crippled financially, no thanks to Tom Wolf (governor who refused all PGH sports teams from reopening to full capacity long after other teams did). Rumors swirled a few times when Morgan Stanley shopped them after the Kraken was formed.

But it does annoy me it sold to Fenway lol. Naturally

Actually doesn't bother me at all. On the down side Lemieux is sticking around so that means Letang and Malkin aren't going anywhere.
The team needs to be blown up but he won't let it as long as Crosby is playing.
