And its only the fifth inning. Still has a chance for more.
Josh Hamilton to the Angels. Meets Albert Pujols. Gets really good drugs. Brings them back to Arlington. Gets Beltre upgraded.
Beltre is untouchable. I don't think you can find a better example of what a big leaguer should be in baseball right now.
Oh, I think that'd be real easy.
Wouldnt give Beltre 6/96 much better to give Fatboy 5/95Wish the Red Sox actually opened their wallets for him instead of going the way the did

According to fangraphs the top 5 Hitters values since 2011 and their actual cost Figures include this year so values may go up someBeltre's been worth 28.8 WAR over the course of his contract. He's got a 134 OPS+ while playing the usual sexy defense at a pretty demanding position. If anything, Beltre's been an absolute bargain.
No kidding. You're absolutely right about that. Seattle was not a good place for his home run stats, but looking back he did better than I remember thinking at the time. But back then, I didn't know anything about SABR stats.Getting out of pitcher-friendly ballparks did him some good.
Beltre and Andrus are my favourite couple ever.
