Adams called up-Burnette to pitch in pain.

The Phillies sent Garcia down and brought up Adams. I hope he regains his form,but I have doubts. Burnett has a hernia but has decided to pitch in pain. he is a trooper but I wonder how well he can do since his control is suspect.

Regarding Adams I think you mean activated and not called up.

Yes he was activated. but he pitched in his last minor league tune-up on Saturday. He allowed one run on two hits in just one inning. He admits that he is not sharp yet. However Sandberg said that he will ease him back in by picking certain spots. I no longer have confidence in Adams but maybe he will get stronger as he pitches.
