5 teams of the East + Blazers, Pelicans, Nuggets, Houston, Spurs, OKC, Clippers and possibly also Jazz, Kings and Dallas (after this off season) in the west...
I was asking @Guns N Guitars but I'm glad you chimed in. Still waiting for you to be right about something. Anything.

Lebron had one minor injury in his career, last year.
AD has played 410 out of 492 games in his first 5 seasons. 60+ games in every season other than last season when he sat out.
LeBron has a lot of mileage on those tires.

Again I don't profess to be a capologist but they should be able to sign a near max and then sign sign Rondo and KCP above cap no?

They will have 1 MLE after they use cap space.

If either is taking vet min, then sure.

I would not want to use MLE on either player though.

The Warriors are still the favorite in my opinion.
The fan in me would love to believe you but that's only if they keep KD (hard to say), and he is back for the playoffs (not unlikely)

They CAN'T go above the cap... not before they fill at least 13 roster spots and still have the exeptions to do it anyway... It's not a matter of paying lux tax... they aren't allowed to.

That is simply not true.

They absolutely do not have to fill out 13 roster spots before they can go above cap. They can use all their cap space on 1 player, then use MLE and min contracts to fill their roster.

Even without KD the Warriors are darn good.

Want to make an av bet that the Lakers are going to be better than most of the teams you mentioned?

Swure... still Thompson will resign with GSW, Bucks will upgrade their starting roster, Nets will advance to contenders and Lakers will be fighting for one of the lower playoff spots...

That is all nonsense...
1. We are not talking the Bucks here, who were forced to do what they did and then 2M out of their stretched goes away this season...
2. Randle won't cost 20+ for the Pels to retain and then they can easily afford the cost it will be... then the Pels will have another 23M of cap space added next season out of their expirings Hill and Moore (both of which they may just waive this season or just use as salary fillers in 3 team deals...)
3.Lopez is resigning with the Bucks for the MLE (9.3M) although he can have more if interested... he is not!

Thanks to the Lakers, he made enough for his salary to be of second (or third) priority for him and being with the team he loved and enjoyed most in his career is his first priorty...

I guess you'll never understand what being with a condending TEAM means to some, rather of participating to a CIRCUS that all it knows is buying...

Thanks to the Lakers? He played in LA for one year, lol. Randle played well under value at $9M last season. You can choose to believe he isn't looking for drastically more, but I have a feeling you'll be proven wrong there.

I guess the Bucks can enjoy their "condending" status (I guess that means "nearly contending"?) while the Lakers immediately jump to the betting favorites without even filling out their roster.

Your credibility went out the moment you guaranteed us AD would sign long term with the Pelicans

Right now you’re the equivalent of a town drunk screaming at a pigeon

I thought they had KCP's Bird Rights

If you're the Lakers, do you settle for a top 2nd tier free agent, or would you rather use the cap space to acquire some additional starters? Going to be interesting to see how it plays out.

Some guys I think the Lakers should target:
Patrick Beverly
JJ Redick
Wes Matthews
Thad Young
Robin Lopez
Taj Gibson
Seth Curry

Even without KD the Warriors are darn good.

They won't have Klay or KD for basically the entire regular season. Steph, Dray and Iggy is nice but they are going to have to do it for 60-70 games

Name a better player with a salary of $1.97M? I will wait

The problem with Kuzma isn't his salary. It's the fact that they will end up giving him more minutes than he deserves when he isn't that good because they want to develop him. Lakers aren't a team with Lebron and AD that need to waste time developing young youth. Trade Kuzma's sorry ass for a solid veteran while his stock is still high.

No. The Lakers will have an MLE/Room Exception to offer (which size will depend on when the AD trade is finalized) and veteran minimum contracts to offer once they use up their cap space. They don't have Bird rights (need 3 years under contract) on any of their free agents, so they can't go over the cap to re-sign any of them.

They still might sign a FA.
