They may trade him for a 2nd and not a 1st but I seriously doubt they do it for a 3rd.

Lot of teams need a QB and a 2nd isn't a lot to ask for given his age.....the Jets may go for a 1st if Bill thinks he can plug and play him. Or the Colts. Or Bears. You get the idea.

I can see your logic. It's true lots of teams are interested in QBs. Cap space is a mess for a lot teams, so i could see someone overpaying for Darnold, or at least IMO

A 2nd (depending on where the pick is) isn't a lot.....3rd is as low as I see the Jets taking just to move on. But, a late 1st or early to mid 2nd isn't out of the question.

Mariota is still just 27 and Carolina may be interested with Rhule there.

Think we can get a 3rd for him.
i would say you are right

I want to say 2nd but not sure Carolina would go for that. But, he's still young and could thrive in Rhule's offense with McCaffrey, Anderson, and Moore. Samuel is probably gone as a FA.

Respectfully, who is giving up a 1st for Darnold?

Lots of teams need a QB this offseason, take your pick.....and he's still young.

Had no OL in NY and a horrible head coach. No real #1 threat to throw to. Said it's possible a team takes a chance by giving up a 1st. More likely to be a 2nd.

I can't remember where.....but I thought I saw them interested in for a possible 1st.

Can't remember if it was a Tweet or article.

I'm not disagreeing, but frankly I could only see N.E. or Indy giving up a 1st or 2nd for Darnold...and that's if Mac or Trey are already off the board. I've also agreed he could take a Tanehill type turnaround.
I guess I'm excited with whats already on the roster, and a ton of names that should be there at 19

Tannehill still may not be that good, he didn't have Henry in Miami. Kind of fell off this past season after the really good one.

A RB like that makes the job a LOT EASIER.

Omg, one of my boys is a Titans fan, and he refuses to accept that Henry is a huge part of Tanehills turn around.
Granted Ryan has been extremely efficient in Knoxville.
I think Darnold would need elite pieces around him, you're right....the coaching and roster was NOT qb friendly

Carolina or Indy would be a good situation.

Especially, since Philly wants so much for Wentz. Thinking they might be fucking themselves with no lube.

Wentz's downfall is a tragedy, poor oline play and predictable offense. Broken mentally and physically? Yeah they are asking waaay too much

I think he'd be fine in Indy with Reich but Philly wants way too much IMO.

The Rams had to include an extra 1st to Detroit to get Staff.....just to take Goff's contract. And Philly wants 2 1st rounders to trade Wentz to a team to take on his salary? LOL.

Darnold may turn out to be a fine QB one day, but is he really the type of QB we need to run this offense? He is a pure drop back passer. That's fine for some offenses, but not ours. Turner's scheme really needs a mobile qb. Actually, Mariotta interests me more as a fit in this offense than Darnold does.
