How many years did we mess with the Jays fan on CBS, about how he ran his mouth in April but would be gone for the year in July?

I am beginning to think he would still be around this year, just waiting for the I told you so. This is the year the Jays fans have been waiting for for awhile now.
I mean, I would be gone by August, but the only thing I'd be running my mouth about in April is how I'd be gone by August because this team is hopeless.

This is fucking awesome.

Wasn't you.

The guy was one of those annoying fans that talks a lot of shit than disappeared every year. But would deny that he disappeared the next year.

I prefer the fans that stick around even when there team is bad, because how much you know the game has nothing to do with what team you root for.

It's common for me in every sport - there are stretches in the middle of the year I get incredibly bored during. Only exception might be soccer due to the large variety of championships ongoing and the scheduling particularities.

I usually zone out of baseball for a couple months, then get re-charged around the trade deadline then really get into it in mid-September. It's been kinda hard to ignore around these parts this year, though.

Hoping the Sox can do us a favor and win 2 of 3 from Toronto. Love our chances of taking 2 of 3 from Baltimore with Pineda and Tanaka going

Heatwave that was him.

Hoping we can two of three from the O's, with CC coming back Wednesday.

Not feeling great about the Wednesday game but I'm expecting wins tmr and Tuesday. Enter that Jays series .5 game back and we'll have an epic series on our hand. I requested the Yanks to go 8-4 in the 12 games before they played the Jays and at the moment we are 7-2 so it is looking like they'll do better than I expected as 9 wins seems likely and 10 out of 12 is not out of the picture.

Severino and Price on Thursday have the potential to be an epic pitching match up.

Really like the starters we have going in the Jays series. Severino, Eovaldi, Nova, and Pineda.

Got a good chance to at least split

We need to go into the Skydome and take 3 of 4 if not sweep. At this point the Yankees need to step up and slow the Jays down.

It's in the Bronx which is why I kinda feel like we need to take 3 of 4. Take 3 of 4 and leave that series in first

One advantage we have if this is still a race in the final week is we have a favorable schedule.

Our final 3 series come against the White Sox (Home), Red Sox (Home) & O's (away). Toronto on the other hand play Tampa at home and finish their season on the road in Baltimore and Tampa

Ortiz has really been raking the last few months. .302/.393/.643 with 16 doubles and 24 HR over his last 72 games, not including today's game. He'd be on pace for 36 doubles and 54 HR in a 162 game season. His BABIP over that stretch is .287. He can still hit.

That Jays/Yankees series this weekend could decide the division.

I wouldn't say that. Unless a team sweep or if the Yanks enter the series down 2.5 or 3.5 rather than 1.5 or .5 and lose 3 of 4 then maybe. But if they enter a half game out the division will be still in play for both teams unless one team get swept.

Pineda's been hurt by bad defense/BABIP. Nova just sucks.
