Great win last night by the Blue Jays. It's wins like that that really cement how good a team can be.

I wonder if Buck Showalter takes the blame for this ridiculous Late season Orioles collapse.

They are playing their worst stretch of baseball since 1988.
Even a horrible team manages to fall into wins by accident. The collapse is stunning.

In fairness to Buck, the ownership never spends money and gave him a flawed roster with really bad SP.
It looks like even his managerial magic of the last 4 years cannot overcome the lack of talent.

There is still enough time (and key head to head games left) to turn it around, but this team looks shellshocked and lifeless.

When a team has clearly quit, it is usually the manager who takes the blame and gets the ax.

What has gotten into stephen drew? Avg all the way up to .211 and been swinging a hot bat since the 2nd half

If we can win 5 of 6 against the Rays/O's leading up to the huge series next week vs Toronto that would be huge

Yankees take two of three from Sawx. Can this season be over yet?

I would prefer the Sox to finish fourth in the division, as long as it's the O's that finish last.

Yeah Showalter probably gets fired in Baltimore, just a huge collapse by a team that should be competing for a wild card.

It would be pretty dumb though, given the roster he's dealt with. You can only overachieve for so long.

Agreed. Firing a manager after one bad year when the roster isn't great would be pretty stupid. As much as we all hate Buck, he clearly improved that franchise. This isn't a Matt Williams situation where you have a World Series roster and miss out on the playoffs

What a night for the Yankees last night. They won while every team we needed to lose did indeed lose. Hoping for the same today

If anyone should be canned in Baltimore after this season, it should be Duquette after doing absolutely nothing last offseason and the only acquisition you made is no longer on the roster and back with the team you got him from to begin with. And he was the big news last offseason for the O's with people thinking that he was bolting to Toronto. People have talked about Buck taking over as GM at some point but my question would then be, who would take over as manager?

And the game we gained last night the Yankees gave right back today.

Yep sucks but it is what it is.

Would be nice not to be any further out than 1.5 games when Toronto come to town on Thursday. I would prefer being in the lead or only .5 games out

How many years did we mess with the Jays fan on CBS, about how he ran his mouth in April but would be gone for the year in July?

I am beginning to think he would still be around this year, just waiting for the I told you so. This is the year the Jays fans have been waiting for for awhile now.
