no hitting and the pitching staff has decided to go into a slump.:mad2:

Have a bad feeling we miss the playoffs. Girardi will be fired even though it is not his fault if this team does not make the playoffs. ....and no that play in game does not count as the playoffs

Re-read the beginning of the thread and what we were saying about what the Yankees would do this year. I will be happy with losing the play in game.

I would prefer more than that though.

I would to if you asked me this 2 months ago. But considering where we were at the start of the month, we must make the ALDS at least for me to be satisfied with the season

You think 2 of the Rangers, Twins and Angels catch the yanks?

Or the Os get it completely turned around?

I'm not seeing the yanks winning the East, but also don't see them not getting the homefield WC much less missing the playoffs all together.

Don't see the O's in the picture as they're trash against any good team. Would not be surprised in the least bit if Rangers and Twins/Angels caught the Yanks though. 4 or 4.5 games is nothing with more than a month to go. If all of those 3 teams win tonight, Rangers would be 3.5 back and Angels/Twins would be 4 back. Absolutely nothing and still play the Jays 7 more times. The Yankees next 12 games are against the Braves, Boston, Tampa, and Baltimore. If they don't go 8-4 or better in that stretch I highly doubt we make the playoffs because 10 of their following 13 after this stretch come against Toronto and the Mets....2 of the hottest teams in baseball

Damn that actually is tough as hell. Twins have like no margin for error with their roster but are luckily done with you guys and the Jays and even the Rangers. Only team in the race with us we play is Angels for 4 at home.

Then the Stros and Royals for 6 each(fuuuck) but at least we got them at home once each.

Yep but they should be able to play good during this stretch of games though. 8-4 seems reasonable to me. The only good thing I can say about this rough stretch they're going to is that they win series against the bad teams. The only bad team they struggled with has been Cleveland.

Yeah gotta take the Braves series forsure. And just get to the Rays bullpen and the Os/Sox pitching should cure your bats!!

If the bats wake up this can be a great stretch. Before the last 2 days our starters had an 3.29 ERA or something like that in the first 21 games this month. This is the sad part about this team. The pitching is actually there now and bats just all gone silent

Yeah I really see the Yankees being fine. Sure, they are flawed but a lot less than the other WC teams. And they got vets.

Twins move into the WC!! Sadly it would be for a 1 game quick death in the Bronx lol.

Great, the Twins wonderful road trip ends in a loss because the shitty ass Rays organization can't fund themselves a proper ballpark.

Hope that shit burns to the ground and they are left with nothing.

Owens had some command issues last night. Changeup looked good though.

Severino looks like the real deal.

Really like the Yanks starters in a short series. Eovaldi has been dominant since the AS break
