Bums & Moose did the Royals have any comebacks that big this season?

I knew they could do the one or two run deal I just wasn't sure about four and five run deficits is Hard playing small ball.

In recent years, they have been an extreme nuisance if it is a 1-2 run deficit. There is very little doubt Yost isn't afraid to gamble in the 9th with his speedsters.

4-5 run leads is particularly foreboding for a singles and base stealing team.

The Angels though -- they have just owned us badly, even when they weren't playing well -- Detroit was always the cure all for them.

The last time I remember the Tigers winning a big game against the Angels, Magglio Ordonez and Carlos Guillen were still playing. 2011, I think. Jared Weaver had a huge-ass meltdown that game and got ejected.

might be the best idea I have heard in a while. Yost pulls another bonehead decision in the next series, I don't know how he remains. The world saw that, if Dayton didn't he must have been one of the referees in Slap Shot.

Less tactical blunders would almost be a given. He makes a world class bullpen look mediocre at certain junctures.

So how are you guys feelin about facing the Angels? For some reason I could see this being a quick death for the Royals with the Halos rolling in 3 games(maybe 4 with a bunch of blow out wins) or the Royals really frusterating them and winning in 5.

IDK if that is necessarily true.

Angels also have a great bullpen.

Getting to the Angels much weaker starters will be a big key though so that part is correct.

Yes, the Angels have a great pen, though I think KC's pen is much deeper with guys like Finnegan and Frasor as 4th/5th options. The games are likely going to be decided in the first 6 innings. We have done well against Shoemaker this year and we won't see Richards. Duffy and Vargas need to lead the charge here.

1st Torrii cant play every day. he has almost all of September. he is tired.

Doug, you really aren't going to go anywhere but look worse about saying ANYTHING about the Royals playoff game you just saw, accept it. It was a better than any meaningfull game you have ever seen in Tigers history, the team came back down 3 times in the game in a game 7 do or die game. I actually hope everyone's team's fans gets to expierence their team have a game so meaningfull and full of drama and everything you could imagine happen in the game....no bad calls, no easy errors deciding it...PURE BASEBALL at its finest.

You better just worry about Nick C, he didn't quite end up with as good as rookie year as Moustakas had, could be tough few years for the kid now.

You do realize now Hosmer in 1 post season game accomplished more than Fielder did in his entire Det post season career.

That Lefty, and 1st round pick in this years draft, is already worrying you and he hasn't even made a start yet. Don't hop on the guy already, in his short MLB career already, he has been a better RP than Detroit has seen in a long time.
