9th inning..Ausmus put in the rookie call ups from Toledo..
2 got hits in there first MLB ABs...then the 3rd hit one deep center field for a 3run HR.

Collins' HR was a BOMB. I will say, it is nice that Ausmus has guys on the bench in September who can occasionally run into one and change the game with one swing of the bat. That has been sadly lacking. Most nights, you looked at that bench late in the game and saw Don Kelly (0 HR), Bryan Holaday (0 HR) and Andrew Romine (2 HR).

Sad the HR production from season bench was 50% matched in AB :L

Even worse is that other 50% came from Romine

Hughes cruised again today til another late inning jam but ended up with the win this time.

No earned runs over 8 innings. Man he's been good.

I guess it was a pretty smart move by me to pick up Hughes in my fantasy team...2 MONTHS ago

I'd have no problem with V-Mart receiving votes, but it's hard to make an MVP case for a DH that hasn't really been the best hitter in his own league. Trout and Abreu have V-Mart beat in OPS+ right now, and they both field positions. Not only that, but Trout also plays a demanding position and is a pretty good base runner.

If V-Mart were putting these kinds of numbers up when he was still catching, he'd easily be an MVP candidate.

Regardless, it's nice to see him doing well again. He was fun to watch in his short time with the Red Sox. :)

Hey Nava his power numbers slipped for awhile and you said what did anyone expect? I will take what he gives the team.

His bat has been steady and still hitting over 300. With the occasional go ahead HR.

Martinez is clearly juicin. You don't go from ass to legit threat without the juice.

We know the kitties like to cheat to win right Doug?

No argument on anything you said........... But....... Abreu playing in the field may actually cost him MVP votes. Dude is no Carlos Pena with the mitt.

I would vote
Abreu 1
Altuve 2
Trout 3

Only because Jose is flirting with triple crown numbers and Altuve is just awesome so fricking fun to watch.

Only thing is you have to be on playoff team for some stupid reason to be a MVP.

Right along with a player from every team that juices. Baseball truly grandstands the idea of stopping PED use in league.

You probably wish more Twins juiced...

Id vote for Gordon, Brantley, Felix, Donaldson and Victor before Id vote for guys on cellar dweller teams. Change it from mVp to mOp, I change my votes. Abreu would beat out Trout, to me, then. That Valueable part is key, IMO.
