I didn't know there were any Royals fans left on the Dayton Moore bandwagon.

lol, hanging on, its only been 7 years, his guys are only 18 to 26 years old, they haven't peaked yet. Think he has a whole mlb rotation potential on the way with his guys soon with Duffy, Ventura, Almonte, Binford, Zimmer, Maneau all coming. Moose, Hosmer, Perez still all what under 25 yr old, haven't peaked (hopefully and most likely) yet.

The trades he has made in his time have all been pretty fair to good, all have helped the team every time.

Getting E Santana, Vargas were pretty good moves.

Still calling Infante signing over Boni, his worst move, and if thats his worst, thats not bad.

Horrible waiver wire guy so far, compared to Oak, TB, Pit.

Don't think he is agressive enough to go after other teams cost controlled talent yet, again like Oak, TB and Pit but really hasn't had much to get them with other than Grienke (got Cain, Escobar, Odorizzi, great trade for Dayton), Santana, Shields and soon Gordon (holding on a bit tight for a 2nd WC instead of a move to win a division)

As bad as the Royals team and minors were when he started, the Royals are better off since he has been there. The dynasty in Atl he saw built took more than 7 years to develop and had more money to do it with.

Honestly, Ian Kennedy replacing Guthrie is probably a bigger upgrade than a Byrd, Rios, etc.

then Boni doesn't go to either, freakin should have known better about the "rumors"...

So Royals don't get 1 power bat and keep Shields....no Rios or Van Slyke...but maybe a 1st round sup draft pick...uggg.

Tigers have gotten a free pass to the WS for 4-6 years, they tend not to use it. Just not enough HEART from Verlander/Miggy...maybe someone hungry like Price/Kinsler will show them what HEART is. (not like Fielder hungry or dougie steak in a box hungry)

Royals could have gotten Milone for Aoki after seeing that deal and he would have helped the team for a couple of years after Shields.

Dayton just doesn't work as hard as Bean does.

Dayton is an idiot in general. Milone was never really that good. Peripherals were mediocre to below average. Would benefit from our defense, but that's not a unique skill on his part.

Well, last time, it got us Dozier effectively, so I can't issue outright damnation yet. I am quite disappointed though.

OF (even RF was about average) wasn't really a problem for us when you factor in defense, it is 1B, DH, and 3B. 2B isn't anything to write home about either though. Ibanez is a waste of a 25th spot though.

Dayton is an idiot in general. Milone was never really that good. Peripherals were mediocre to below average. Would benefit from our defense, but that's not a unique skill on his part.

Milone is a 28 yr old lefty, not even in his prime years and already with 1.2ish whips over the years and a winning record with a bad offense for most of his years in the majors...Aoki for Milone, all day long. Thats the deals I have a problem with Dayton on, everyone understands he can't get into the money trades.

Milone isn't an Ace but you have to have 5 in your rotation and he would have been solid in the rotation. Definately better than Guthrie and Chen already and most likely will be better than whoever replaces Shields. He just doesn't look for the value deals.

it fixes the Fister mistake but ends up hurting the postseason bullpen a bit with lefty Smyly gone. Jackkkson won't hurt a bit, might actually help.

Weakens defense a bit and the bull pens still blows and Smyly can't strengthen it. Sure it is huge upgrade rotation wise. As bad as Ajax K's a lot. He was solid as of late in leadoff role and solid in CF.
