This 2 run performance (against a Rockies team that can't hit on the road and is without Tulowitzki, nonetheless) lowers his ERA to a sparkling 4.66 ERA, higher than notable aces such as John Danks, Jarred Cosart and Jeremy Guthrie.

He has 10 wins, tied for 26th place. Only an idiot would bring up a pitcher's W-L record anyway. Even last year, he was tied for 32nd in wins. Ranked 52nd in the league in W-L%.

It's the Rockies so I will keep things in perspective.

JV is looking stronger and his fastball looks to be better than earlier n the season. Maybe his core surgery concerns are behind him.

The playoffs is a matchup game. Porcello should not start a playoff game at home and JV should only start at Comerica. I know i doesn't always work out that way but it's better to utilize the players strength.

I am more concerned with hitting right now and hope Dirks can provide some pop from the left side.

The McCoy 3 runs with zero outs was stellar.

how can you keep Porcello out of the rotation? the way he is pitching ....going to be tough to set that rotation for the post season.
