You will have to know a few Tiger players beyond Verlander and Cabrera. And it would help if you had some idea of the players on other teams. But give it a try. A little suggestion doug. Why not put that "Stafford MVP" in your back pocket, until we see if the Lions make the playoffs. See...that kind of stuff is what gets thrown back in your face. Why not say stuff like, "A good game for Stafford. He is has having one of his better seasons." Or, Cousins out played Stafford...but Matt came through to win the game." Try to understand....your comments are just...errr...dumb?

Dodgers will have cash, unless they still want to get Greinke back. Yankees always have the $$$. Texas?
Tigers might have to eat some of his contract or take a shorter/smaller bad contract in return. But $84mil over 3 years isn't a monster contract any longer....it would be more along the lines of 'do they want to gamble on his age'.
After Verlander's year, and his desire to get to LA or NYC, I think Detroit could pick up a couple of top ten prospects from a team. Or maybe a young, major league ready outfielder, that could replace JD Martinez if they trade him. (Andrew Benintendi - if the Red Sox are interested. Aaron Judge - if the Yankees are.)
