The only problem with that is spreading two slow guys throughout the lineup. But I do agree JD is a little better protection for Miggy.

So we have two guys, going with the Tigers DEEP into the post-season....doug and Ned. Well, we all know that doug has long predicted Detroit to take the AL Central. But Ned, are you an AL Central Champ guy, or a guy who thinks Detroit edges in on a Wild Card ticket?

So doug/Ned....what do you see from the Tigers in their last 17 games? SEVEN of those are against the Tribe, who have "broken one off" (as doug puts it) in the Tigers this year. Do you think Cleveland is capable of being beaten by Detroit in those 7 games? How many does Detroit take?

Tribe with a 6 game lead and 17 games to go.

This weekend they can finish it off if they play well. At least they are in a position where if the sweep the Tigers- its over- but if the Tigers sweep them, they still have a 3 game lead. Gotta like where they are at.

Encouraging to see Tomlin pitch well. The Tribe needed that. Sounds like Gomes will be back by this weekend so maybe that will even further aid the pitching staff.
