Indians have two more against the Marlins, then four at home against the Astros, and from there on out, it's 23 straight intra-division games against a decidedly mediocre AL Central.

Actually, I just looked at the other schedules. Tigers might be slightly easier, Royals slightly more so.

Good. Very busy. But I'm at a cottage on lake huron currently trying to unplug. I wasn't on but my wife is sleeping and doesn't care that I can't believe Miggy got a 1st pitch strike there. I thought they might just put him on, but at least be very careful and not a 1st pitch strike especially considering the night he'd already had. I see your guys won again. Guess it'll probably come down to the last 2 series against them.. at least I hope the Tigers still have a shot by the time that 2nd done rolls around.

Kind of an important game, re: Fulmer/Tigers.

Fulmer has been "off" a little in his last two starts. (9 runs in 10.2 innings) Is his tank on empty? Another poor performance, and Detroit would have to consider calling it a year for him...at somewhere around 150 total innings.

Perhaps not....but it is the wear and tear on his arm that could be a concern for the Tigers now. Originally the plan was to get 160 or so innings out of him. But his pitch counts have been low so they were hoping he could add a few games/innings on to that. But if, at this late date, he struggles to go 5 innings....I'd rather see him either shut down...or perhaps used out of the pen.

I don't know how things work in the AL East, but ONE loss in the AL Central sends you into a "downward spiral" according to "The Predictor" (Mr. Player), so I would hate to tempt fate in regards to Fulmer's short term results.
