Gomes and Uribe have been atriocous this year. But other than that, 7 of their 10 players with 200+ PA have a wRC+ of 110 or higher (100 being average). Davis has a 95 wRC+, but the average wRC+ for CF is 95. Davis also has a solid glove and provides very good baserunning.

Naquin won't keep hitting like this forever, especially with a .439 BABIP. He still projects as a league average-ish hitter, but if he keeps hitting for power like he's been since the promotion (.289 ISO), he could be better than that.
the strangest thing about Naquin, to me anyway, was this power, and his crappy D.

I thought he could hit for average since when he was drafted he was said to have the "best pure bat" in the draft. I was seriously skeptical when they drafted an outfielder who is like barely 6 foot , like 175 at the time with no power in the top 15....

I thought hed give the tribe a solid average, steal a few bags and play really solid D...instead his defense has been pretty crappy and hes hitting the shit outta the balll.....itll be interesting to see where he lands.

Doug, just wondering. If slinky lowered the wager he offered you to around $200 bucks (of fake money)...would you take the bet then? The Tigers are hot, Cleveland might have injury problems. The Tribe's lead is down to four games.

Don't look now, but Trevor Bauer had a 5.19 ERA in 26 July innings. He came out in relief during that marathon game in TOR on the 1st, put the stones to the Blue Jays, then got shellacked in four starts against NYY, MIN, BAL & OAK - 6.43 ERA in his last four.

He needs to get his shit together, and Kluber and Carrasco need to toe the fucking line.

15 ER in his last 21 IP for Bauer. Somewhere in West Michigan, broncosmitty is smiling.

Yeah, but he doesn't even know about Bauer yet. He's smiling because he just tied a matchbox car to his penis with dental floss.

To be fair, Verlander has had a bad stretch or two this season, but I don't judge his whole year on that.

To be fair, Verlander has had a similar stretch or two this season, but I won't judge his whole year on that.

Hell, Bauer's had one too. There was a three game stretch in May where he had a 5+ ERA. He's still around 3.60 for the season.

He's going tomorrow against the Twins, so he'll probably get fucked up again.

I think the biggest detriment to Verlander's 2016 season is the support he gets from dougplayer. That kind of backing can only serve to reinforce the views of the many who feel Verlander is washed up. Afterall, this is the same "fan/nut"" who has backed Matthew Stafford of the Lions as a Hall of Fame Quarterback for years AND has voiced his opinion that the UM football team will be national champions every year. Verlander's reputation and worth can only suffer from dougplayer's support. (I would suggest that JV's representatives pay this guy to get lost, for their client's own good)

Right now, I'm angry. And I'm thinking about Germans. Angry Germans. But I want to go to a happy place.

So this wraps it all into one:

Twins f---in' owning Cleveland in this series. Back-to-back games with double-digit runs.
