Is it an offseason or is it the downward spiral of his career? He is older than dirt and has been 'roiding for years. That shit has to catch up.
Yep sure...oh wait. Last night. Miggy had 4 hits. Game winner also. So no. You are wrong. Miggy still great.

Kinsler is the leader of the Tiger's offense this season. His bat and hustle make Miggy look a lot older than 33.

Cabrera had a big game Friday. In the past, these kind of games often signaled a streak that Miggy would go on where he would carry the team on his back for about a week. Let's see if he can still do that...even if it just for 2-3 games.

Doug...Miggy still has value, but I would be careful about using the term "great' with his name in the future, unless you are using it in the past tense. There is a very good chance Miggy's "Great" days are behind him and Tiger fans will just need to be happy with 'good' seasons in the future. Take a look at Fangraphs and you no longer see Cabrera at the top of many categories. He's not embarrassing himself...but other hitters are passing him by.

Sure. He had a major injury and surgery. He also had a bad ankle last year. But played on it. For the team. Nobody knew how bad his ankle was till he went to surgery for it in the off season. Injuries and little struggle to get back to being miggy.he will get back to it. He doesn'tjuice or he would be all the way back now

You act like miggy is going downward like mauer....
.300. 109 Hs. 19 2b. 19HRs 56RBIs.
I can excuse this kind of slump.
He can still reach overy 30HRs
Over 100 RBI
And lead this tiger team into post season with clutch hits. Need JD back to make it fairer in the batting order

Doug...I know reading comprehension isn't your strong suit.....but you just repeated what I said. Miggy may still have seasons where he'll get 25-30 homers and drive in 100-105 runs. Maybe he will even stay around a .300 BA for a couple more years. But I don't think we will see the MVP seasons with batting titles and 44 homers and 130 RBI any more. AND....you hit on one reason why...little nagging injuries older players get, especially heavier players. So YES, Miggy is going downward. Hopefully slowly - or the Tigers are going to be in a world of hurt in 2 -3 years.

Nope. Don't see miggy dropping off that far..yet. I see at least 3 more MVP type seasons in him.

Well, at least he's only got seven years and $220MM left on his contract.

It appears that Sales got into a heated argument with White Sox front office people who refused to let his good friend, and business partner, "miamivice" have access to the White Sox clubhouse and dugout.

Sale asked front office not to wear throwbacks on his pitching days, as they are uncomfortable. Front office wouldn't bend, so Sale made sure no one could wear them.
