Get some depth- scrub.

Gotta agree ... the Tigers organizational depth -- or lack thereof -- has definitely been exposed with all these DL stints. Gonna be an adventure to see who takes the mound Saturday-Sunday in Toronto, and how long they last. At least Brad can empty the bullpen on Sunday with the break coming up.

Did I read this right .... Josh Tomlin has given up 21 home runs already this season? Yeesh, and I thought Verlander was serving up bombs at a high rate. Must be a lot of solo shots in there if his ERA is still 3.51.

The only pitcher with a higher home run rate (Ian Kennedy) 3.97 ERA. Taijuan Walker has a 1.88 HR/9 and his ERA sits at 3.66. Jered Weaver's HR/9 is also 1.88, but he has a 5.27 ERA (Weaver's FIP/xFIP sit at 5.61, dude should just retire).

Interesting stuff...

IAN KENNEDY: 1.9 HR/9, 3.0 BB/9, 1.19 WHIP, 3.97 ERA

JUSTIN VERLANDER: 1.3 HR/9, 2.3 BB/9, 1.10 WHIP, 4.11 ERA

I guess there is something to that FIP stat. Kennedy's FIP is 5.05, Verlander's is 3.89.

Also helps to have a bullpen that doesn't regularly allow inherited runners to score.
