JUSTIN VERLANDER: 1.3 HR/9, 2.3 BB/9, 1.10 WHIP, 4.11 ERA

I guess there is something to that FIP stat. Kennedy's FIP is 5.05, Verlander's is 3.89.

Also helps to have a bullpen that doesn't regularly allow inherited runners to score.

Kennedy's SIERA is 4.00, DRA was 4.03, as well, fwiw. About in line with his ERA.

I am exhausted. I have been all over the U of M campus in Ann Arbor, looking for the "presser" from Jim Harbaugh that doug told us about yesterday....concerning Denard Robinson. Could not find it or Jim Harbaugh. I went to the Athletic Dept and asked if Harbaugh was going say anything about this ''driving into a pond'' incident? Surprisingly, Harbaugh HAD left a message for the media concerning Shoelaces. Harbaugh's comment: "I didn't sign the guy. That was Hoke's mistake. If he wants to drive into a lake...let him. No skin off my nose."

That's what got me looking for any Harbaugh comment. That photo was from earlier in the spring when Harbaugh was recruiting kids in Jacksonville. I thought maybe there was a Khaki pants/Shoelace connection. Have not seen any recent remarks from.....

OK...only moderately messy. Denard will be cut off from selling maize and blue shoelaces and told to stay out of sight until this stupidity blows over. I imagine Denard has enough "friends" who will cover his ass, and he'll skate on this one....until he does something else stupid.

Pretty sure Carrasco was on the DL at some point.

Get some depth- scrub.

Depth? DEPTH? Jesus, Moose. The Tigers' payroll is $172MM. With a shoestring budget like that, how can you possibly expect them to have depth? Hater.

I spent Wednesday night in downtown Grand Rapids. I've got to say, that's a pretty cool town. Nice mixture of refurbished old buildings and modern construction, it was clean, relatively friendly, and there was some action on a Wednesday night.
