So, this is what the crazy world of batting your best hitters ahead of your crappy hitters does? Sure, confirmation bias and all that, but I'll take it!

Uh, Wainwright, Morales might be looking for a curve there to Morales. 2 singles from that pitch in the same spot down and away.

Red Wings: 2005
Pistons: 2004
Tigers: 1984
Lions: 1272 BC

Detroit is starting to develop a couple of long "No Ring" streaks of their own, doug. In fact, I don't think it is a good idea for ANY Detroit sports fan to discuss a 'lack of Championships', when Detroit is home to perhaps one of the worst sports franchise in all of sports.

I believe the Red Wings were 2008

Yes, the Wings cups this century were in 2002 and 2008.

2004-05 was the NHL lockout year. But the Wings WOULDA won, right, Doug? :L

2005. Then 2004. But you only counted 1 ring from the rip and chauncy era. Don't forget get big ben.
Then the bad boys era.
Oh. Lions was in 1957 I think.
So yes. More than 1 since 1964.
Don't forget darrel Evans getting picked off 3rd. Or that would have been a ring year.
Just missed in 2006 with the tigers to

Don't forget ladys in WNBA. they won. What ever there team name was. Red wings look to rebuild and win a couple cups. SOON.. no getting to finals and tanking like the SHARKS fo...right mr hockey?

That's all well and good (the broads basketball was particularly amusing), but this is the AL Central thread, which is baseball. Further, this is the 2016 AL Central thread. I suppose the good news for you is that thanks to the Twins, the Tigers probably won't finish in the basement for a second straight year.

He thought he was facing Gordo. :L
I don't think any of our true LHB's saw Wainwright all that well really. A lot of dopey swings from LHB's last night. With the ump giving outside pitches to Waino against LHP's all night- it was a pretty crappy night to be left handed in general.

I am really surprised with Tyler Naquin.

Everything I read about him previously to this year was that he was really good in center with one of the best arms you can see....his defense has been atrocious---

his power was supposed to be lacking- good contact hitter with a little gap power- but not much--- and of course he is crushing the ball since he got recalled with Marlon Byrd getting busted. Kinda crazy.

The Indians just drafted an OF really high in the draft- and their 2 best prospects are Frazier and Zimmer- both very highly rated outfielders. Frazier was - i believe the 5th overall pick out of high school and has been raking in the minors- though Zimmer is the better athlete and i think a little higher rated.

If the Yanks offered the Tribe Miller and or Beltran in a trade centered around Zimmer or Frazier- with other pieces i am sure (probably an arm or two- Clevinger/Kaminskey/Sheffield), I wonder what the Indians would do. I would hope they would do it- but i dont think they would. I think a dominant lefty setup guy and an outfielder with pop would be perfect for this team and match them up really well with the rest of the Central.

They just keep whoopin' our ass. They are not getting lucky, they are mean!!!!

Agreed. When you outscore a team something like 60-20 over nine games, it's hard to blame luck.

Tigers sweep the marlins.

Woah, hold on.... the Marlins still have to bat in the 9th and it's only a 7-run lead for the Tigers. You KNOW better.

:heh:
