Ugh, these dimensions are such a tease, sometimes.
Boyd is not a Major League starter.
Time to move on.
I don't want to give up on him altogether. But Toledo or the bullpen are where he belongs imo.Was just typing the same thing, while trying to be nice about it. If we could stick him in triple A and bring him up for spot starts against some bottom feeder teams -- we'd be alright.
Morales. Just hit right into the shift. Inning overIf Morales comes back to life, the Royals lineup has a bit of life.

Forget SS, that man could be MVP.I can't get enough of Salvy. He wants a SS to go with all the other accolades.
.300/.332/.545 Paced to hit 28 dingers and 85 RBIs
Can't argue with that. I think on paper the Tigers are better than the Royals and Indians, possibly. But as the announcers kept drilling it in, KC is just an athletic, scrappy team that suits them at home so well. Count on 70% at home, now if they could just get to 48% on the road their will be on their way.4 game series rookies!
Tigers win today and leave with a tie. Not bad.
Royals can't win on the road. Tigers are starting to do that Winning 2 in KC. I will take it in june

Concerned? Almost half way through??Doug, I am a little concerned. It is getting close to the half way mark and Detroit is tied for the EIGHTH best record in the AL. A .500 ballclub with an awful bullpen, an incomplete starting rotation, a starting RF out for 5-6 weeks, a big time free agent hitting like a utility infielder, and a questionable manager. Personally, I don't see this team running away with the Central as you predicted. It seems they have their hands full just staying around .500. And as for adding a big name or two at the trade deadline....what are they going to use as trade bait? I don't see much talent in their minor league system that would land them a Lucroy or a good starting pitcher. HEART is nice, doug....but how far can it take you when they keep running Mark Lowe, Blaine Hardy, Buck Farmer, and those types out to the mound. And Pelfrey and Boyd are your 4th and 5th starters?
Doug...you better order some more pixie dust to sprinkle over the Tigers...cuz they look pretty plain.
