I'm sure Sabes will call. Whether Nate wants to get back into the same situation he was thankful to leave is up to him. It wasn't quite the bad blood that Kevin Frandsen left on, but Nate wasn't happy with his role.

I would think he would be happy to be on a contender and contribute whatever he can. But then you never know

I would LOVE to have Nate back, but I think, professionally, he is done with the Giants. He and Bochy were not exactly best buds.

IIRC, the animosity he held for Boch started leaking into the press the last couple weeks before the trade.

Agreed. But dumpster diving is what Sabey Sabes does. And for a team in dire need of hitters who can hit over .200, Nate can do that, with occasional pop, and good defense. (Could he play left or center?) For two months, perhaps they Nate and Noggin can get along?

Chemistry is a thing too...Sabres likes to dumpster dive but this particular piece of dumpster junk may not be a fit

Sometimes we forget that Sabes/Bochy are not the only ones who have a say in the moves. The players have a say as well, and he may want nothing to do with the Giants org anymore (barring zero interest from another org, of course).
