I looked (briefly) and saw all of Pence's first inning homers came when Guppy was leading off. Since Pence has been leading off, he has 4 homers (2 vs NYM, 1 vs Phi, 1 vs Oak, none of them leading off).

Nah. I think Pence started batting leadoff after Pagan was injured, and after Bochy tried Guppy at leadoff for about two dozen games (with 2 hits to show for it). So his leadoff hitting only goes back a month or so. Of course, I may well have overlooked something.
