That blows. Totally defeats the purpose of a “giveaway”

Free, with your $20 donation.

Yeah it's dumb. They use to do it for bigger events where you had like a pre-game party with food/drink, plus a giveaway, plus a seat, but in recent years it seems like they cut out the party and food/drink.

On the Giants' website, Chris Haft (I think it's still him) does a Q&A with fans. One fan asked why the Giants don't trade Joey Bart for a power bat. My money is on @msgkings322 who asked that question.

If Duggar didn’t get hurt, there was a decent chance the starting OF tonight could have been Shaw/Duggar/Slater.

When was the last time the Giants fielded a completely home-grown starting OF?

A chick caught the ball, but it looks like she gave the ball away to the kids in front of her and the ushers are taking the kids (and their dad?) to meet the Giants. They should have brought the chick.

I feel like at some point, Euginio Velez, Fred Lewis and John Bowker all started a game together.

If he played in the minor leagues for the Giants, he is a product of the farm. That's why the Giants should take all the credit for Dereck Rodriguez.
But the Giants got him in the Rule V, didn’t they? I thinking he made his Giants org debut with the big club.

Edit: looks like they got him in the minor league phase of the Rule V. He played in the Giants minors in ‘06 and made his SF debut in ‘07
