Really too bad Duggar is hurt. Would love to see him and Shaw out there together.
That, with either Slater or Williamson in right, would have been the outfield many of us envisioned the Giants to have about this time of year.

I think many of you will see right away is how big Shaw is in the batter's box. Then you will see him swing and how effortless it looks. Best raw power in the org easily, it will be a matter of connecting and getting the ball in the air more often.

I'll be honest if the Giants can find a way to unload Longoria and sign Machado, I think an outfield of Shaw-Duggar-Mac-Slater-Hernandez would be quite fruitful.

Slater can form a soft platoon with Shaw in LF, Duggar and Mac are everyday starters, Hernandez can come in for defense in LF for whomever is starting that day.

Unfortunately I don't see the Giants pulling off either of those.

The Giants currently sit at approx 137M next year after picking up Bums option. If the CBT will be approx 190M, that would give the Giants 50M to spend in Free Agency.

The CBT is actually going to be $206 million next year

So 60M+ to spend.

When you factor in the Arb guys (Dyson, Panik, Gorkys, Smith, Strickland and d’Arnaud), we are probably looking at approx 45M for ‘19.

Solid shot they trade some of those guys as well (Panik, Dyson/Strick mainly)

I agree. I think there will be LOTS of trades this off season. Probably more than we have ever seen as Giants fans.

But it is impossible to extrapolate those, so I am just looking at what we currently have.
