I'm just here to troll everyone
This game is like the platonic ideal of a tzill approved game of baseball.
Thanks. I did notice that. Good job keeping on the roster moves.LHG and Filo...
Just so you guys know, the "Current Roster" thread is handled differently from every other thread. The first post is constantly updated by Stokes and myself to represent the current roster makeup.
I use it all the time to remind myself what we have and to help predict potential moves.
Tzill has 11 posts, 4 of which are innings predictions/updates. Tzill is on pace to give 1.28 updates on IP predictions and the thread is on a 67% ratio of IP predictive posts vs regular posts. So without actually calculating it feels like 1/2 of the posts in this thread are 'So and so on pace to go x, Other guy to go y'
But am I the only one that finds those meaningless? Each inning changes it, it doesn't really tell you anything useful about how long a guy is going to go. It's false precision. Guy throws 8 pitches in the first, uh oh he's going 9....really? Nothing different will happen later?
Guy throws 28 in the first...on pace to go 4.1....really? Yeah, if he throws 28 per inning yeah he will go 4, don't need Fangraphs to tell me that. If a guy gets through every inning throwing 8-10 pitches he's gonna pitch a shutout, I get it.
Kaz started the thread to go '10'. Now he's at 5.1, but after the 5th he's more like 6.1. What exactly does this 'stat' help us with?
Edit: 4x1.28 posts which = 5.12 posts per 9. My apologies.Tzill has 11 posts, 4 of which are innings predictions/updates. Tzill is on pace to give 1.28 updates on IP predictions and the thread is on a 67% ratio of IP predictive posts vs regular posts.
You know, I'm doubly cheesed with Joe Ross. First, he knocks Fister out of the starting rotation. Now, he rolls over against the Dodgers. The dude's a plant.gawd dam puig

Or not.Home run #4?
Have a co-worker who's a big Mets' fan. Been happy for him this year. However, I don't think our main competition for the Wild Card will be from the East. Its those pesky Central division teams. We may have to win the damn division, still not feeling good about that. Mets decided to never lose again, Cubs rolling, etc.
